Beautiful retreat venues, quiet surroundings and ideal settings for small groups

A few times a year Rising Falling will organise a Vipassana retreat in the United Kingdom. We do select our venues for their beautiful locations, quiet surroundings and ideal settings for small groups.

In November 2023 we will organize a retreat in Dorrington. Located midway between the county town of Shrewsbury and Church Stretton in the village of Dorrington. A beautiful Home Farm House, where you will find historical features that are quintessential to English sophistication.
The garden is enclosed.
The bedrooms are spacious and therefor give you plenty of room to practice. Also the living room as well as the conservatory provide space to meditate.
You can also take a stroll around the beautiful gardens to exploring the woodlands and countryside.

Price for a Private Room is £675-.

The retreat will start on the 11^th of November, arrival time between 4:00 pm and 5:00 pm. And it will finish on the 18^th of November 10:00 am.

You can find the programme for the Vipassana retreat on this website. With the difference that we get up at 5:00 am during the retreat in the UK.

The group will be small; between 6 and 8 people.
And every day there will be time for you to report to the teacher about your experiences and get further guidance in the meditation.

Therefore we can recommend this Vipassana retreat for people with no experience in meditation as well as for people with a lot of experience. In the evening there will be group meditations and Dharma talk, where the teacher will tell a story or talk about experiences to give you more insight into the meditation technique.
Vipassana meditation will give you more clarity, insights and silent friendships.
If you need a real break from everything, or if you do not know what your next step in life will be, a Vipassana might help you.

During the retreat my assistant Marije Vesters will prepare the meals, as well as supporting with the meditations and she is there to answer questions as well.

The meals will be vegetarian and if you have food allergies. please let us know.

A £100 deposit needs to be paid to hold the place and the full amount needs to be paid by the 15 th of October.

The teaching is donation based.

Please bring some white clothes and a count down timer.
